چکیده

This paper considers the problem of disturbance tolerance/rejection for a family of linear systems subject to actuator saturation and L2 disturbances. For a given set of linear feedback gains, a given switching scheme and a given bound on the L2 norm of the disturbances, conditions are established in terms of linear or bilinear matrix inequalities under which the resulting switched system is bounded state stable, that is, trajectories starting from a bounded set will remain inside the set or a larger bounded set. With these conditions, both the problem of assessing the disturbance tolerance/rejection capability of the closed-loop system and the design of feedback gain and switching scheme can be formulated and solved as constrained optimization problems. Disturbance tolerance is measured by the largest bound on the disturbances for which the trajectories from a given set remain bounded. Disturbance rejection is measured by the restricted L2 gain over the set of tolerable disturbances. In the event that all systems in the family are identical, the switched system reduces to a single system under a switching feedback law. It will be shown that such a single system under a switching feedback law has stronger disturbance tolerance/rejection capability than a single linear feedback law can achieve. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. Average Dwell-time Method to Stabilization and L2-gain Analysis for Uncertain Switched Nonlinear Systems

This paper is concerned with the problem of stabilization and L2-gain analysis for a class of switched nonlinear systems with norm-bounded time-varying uncertainties. A system in this class is composed of two parts: a uncertain linear switched part and a nonlinear part, which are also switched systems. When all the subsystem are stabilizable and have a L2-gain, the switched feedback control law...

L2-induced gain analysis for a class of switched systems

This paper addressed the computation of the L2-induced gain for a class of switched systems. The main contribution of the paper is to completely characterize the induced gain of the switched system through a system of differential inequalities, one for each system being switched. The motivation for computing the induced gain of a switched system is the application of robust stability tools to t...

L2 gain analysis for linear discrete switched delay systems ?

The problem of L2 gain for a class of linear discrete switched systems with disturbance input is considered in this paper. It is assumed that not all of the subsystems have normal L2 gain. Based on the average dwell time method, we search for switching signals to make the switched systems achieve the weighted L2 gain. As a special case, the criterion of normal L2 gain under arbitrary switching ...

Stability and L2 Gain Analysis for a Class of Switched Symmetric Systems

In this paper, we study stability and L2 gain properties for a class of switched systems which are composed of a finite number of linear time-invariant symmetric subsystems. We focus our attention mainly on discrete-time systems. When all subsystems are Schur stable, we show that the switched system is exponentially stable under arbitrary switching. Furthermore, when all subsystems are Schur st...

Average Dwell-Time Method to L2-Gain Analysis and Control Synthesis for Uncertain Switched Nonlinear Systems

This paper addresses the L2-gain analysis and control synthesis problem for a class of switched nonlinear systems affected by both time-varying uncertainties and external disturbances. Firstly, the L2-gain for the autonomous switched disturbed uncertain system is analyzed. Then, a switched state feedback control law is designed and the L2 -gain is analyzed for the disturbed uncertain non-autono...

Robust H2 switching gain-scheduled controller design for switched uncertain LPV systems

In this article, a new approach is proposed to design robust switching gain-scheduled dynamic output feedback control for switched uncertain continuous-time linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The proposed robust switching gain-scheduled controllers are robustly designed so that the stability and H2-gain performance of the switched closed-loop uncertain LPV system can be guaranteed even und...
